How to Assemble

  • The bike comes 90% assembled, just put on the handlebar, the pedals, the front wheel, and the removable battery
  • Make sure to tighten all the bolts, check the tyre pressure, and set a speed limit before hitting the road

Battery Maintenance Tips

  • For daily use, keep the charge level between 20% and 80%
  • Charge regularly
  • Use the correct charger
  • Charge the battery in a cool, dry place, ideally between 10°C and 20°C
  • Do not leave the battery charging unattended or overnight to prevent potential fire hazards
  • Use a smart plug or timer can help managing charging duration
  • Be aware of heatwaves and summer high temperatures in particular
  • Keep them away from metal objects to prevent short-circuiting

Great bike, had to go into settings & tone the take off down, it was a bit lively off the mark, also dropped the max speed down to 25 km just in case, but can increase both when off a govt roads. Definitely worth the money compared to other brands, super easy to assemble as most of it comes ready.

Merkx MX05 and MX06

Just received our two new eBikes from Merkx. Great customer service as one of the batteries arrived damaged, but they swapped it, no hassle.
The bikes ride well and assembly was a breeze.
Now we just need the temps to drop below 35degreed so we can start enjoying the MX05 and MX06 👍

Good Value

Very good bike for the price. Powerful motors. Fat tires and suspension makes for a comfy ride. Brakes are adequate. I like the electronic "bell" - honking at pedestrians is fun. Overall it's good value. I have other e-bikes and prefer a mid-drive but this thing is pretty good and about half the price. It certainly does the job I wanted it to do.

Q20 Pro Ridstar / S600

Awesome range, feel and handling on both bikes. S600 is more of a peddler has more space and hits about 50kph with a smaller battery. Q20 not really a peddler, bigger battery and power for just throttle - straightto 60kph huge range. Great motor switches for swapping on the go, comphy seat, way lower stance, attracts more attention as a motorcycle look. MERKX / Megan have been awsome to deal with - from one side of the country to the other and remote fast responses freight and quality bikes.

My old bike was a MX05 which is an absolutely great bike, but the S600 takes it to the next level. The 160nm of torque makes it a real winner up those steep hills. Well done Merkx for having great back up service, I congratulate you.

Looks to be a very good quality ebike for the price. Easy to assemble and seems to have sufficient power and battery life for extended trips. I have only ridden for the week, will be interesting to see how it is in 6 months. Overall, very happy with purchase based on value and quality of S600.
