"I love my S600. It’s brought cycling back as my number one go to to keep my aging body active."
"Love my bike S700, 2000kms already. Half my ride on dirt. Love the high speed. Very reliable. No problem carrying groceries etc."
"There’s no such thing as a hill that will over strain my knees and back. The design, was so much more gentle on my body that I could ride for hours and still enjoy myself."
"I see it as being like a static exercise bike, where I dictate the speed my legs work at whilst being out and about looking at the world around me. Win win. Loving my S600. Thank you Merkx."
"The rear mudguard can get squeaky (first mod) but other than that it's been a solid commuter over streets and some bush trails."
"My S600 has done more than 570km completely stock. Great bike. Good power on pedal assist and you can adjust the power level to what you require."
"I’m really enjoying my new S600. I’ve been riding sandy fire trails all week and the benefit of the twin motor set up cannot be overstated.
I haven’t had to walk at any stage, even in extremely soft sand. Learning the controls is very important to get the most out of the bike.
Big tyres make for very comfortable long distance riding and I’m finding the battery is still on full bars after a 50km ride.
Early days in my ownership but great fun so far."Noel Y.Perth, WA
"I live in a steep, hilly town in Nambour, Qld.
Once the battery was charged fully, I rode the bike 45 kilometres to test it’s range and power on minimum settings.
It performed flawlessly and still had two bars left out of five when fully charged.
On one long down hill run, I achieved 65kph, though the motor cut out at around 49kph as it was set to do. On flats it ran at around 40 kph. I found that on very steep hills, engaging both motors powered it up effortlessly, ( I am 115kgs), though most hills I used one motor at minimum assist level 1 of 5."Michael V.Nambour, AU
"The S600 has performed faultlessly for the first 300km. It’s comfortable and reasonably quite, although the front motor can be heard more than the rear motor but I think, like the front disc brakes, it is because the sound is traveling back towards the rider. The rear motor sounds are behind as you’re riding.
Steep hills are so easy compared to my last ebike. You don’t even need to pedal with both motors working. That is a brilliant feature."Steven R.Brisbane, QLD
"It's very durable and has more power than expected.
I even took it out on some local mountain bike trails (which I was VERY nervous and worried the bike would break) but it handled it great.
No issues rolling over large tree roots or bumpy terrain and it climbs great.
Overall I would highly recommend this e-bike."
Madeline G.Darwin, NT
"My e-bike purchase has been a game-changer.
Its impeccable design, powerful electric assistance, long battery life, and comfortable ride have exceeded my expectations."

Don’t be afraid of e-bikes. It is essentially the same as riding a traditional bicycle; you just need to get used to it.
We recommend setting a speed limit on the e-bike for a smoother pedal assist experience.
If you are unsure how to set the speed limit, see our Youtube videos.
Yes, throttle and pedal assist can be used together or independently.
When you set pedal assist (levels 1–5), the throttle will only operate the bike within that level’s speed range (e.g., around 10–15 km/h in level 1).
If you use throttle only, it can reach the maximum speed limit you have set or the bike’s maximum speed.
You can also pedal without assistance, which can be a lot of fun.
Our e-bikes can reach speeds of up to 50 km/h and have an average range of 100 km with pedal assist. Keep in mind that range can vary based on terrain, rider weight, and motor use.
However, on public roads in Australia, e-bikes must be limited to 25 km/h and cannot be used on throttle alone.
All Merkx e-bikes can be modified to comply with road regulations.
We recommend that customers limit their speed to 25 km/h and wear a helmet when riding in public.
We recommend checking the batteries and tyres after assembling the e-bike.
If needed, pump the tyres as follows:
Charging tips
For optimal e-bike battery health and longevity, aim to keep the charge level between 20% and 80%.
Avoid both complete discharge and full charging as much as possible.
The process of fully discharging a battery and then charging it back to full capacity is known as a “cycle”. The more cycles your battery goes through, the less effective it will be.
To ensure you get the maximum lifespan from your battery, charge it less frequently.
One way to do this is to only charge it when it has less charge than you need to complete your ride, rather than recharging it after every use.
Why the 20%-80% range?
Lithium-ion batteries, commonly used in e-bikes, perform best and degrade more slowly when charged and discharged within this range.
Charging to 100% can cause the battery cells to heat up, potentially damaging them and reducing overall efficiency. Deep discharges (below 20%) can also shorten battery lifespan.
Charging to 80% helps reduce the stress of full charging and discharging cycles.
If you will not be using your e-bike for an extended period, store the battery with a charge level between 40% and 70%.
Regularly charging the battery (even when stored) is also good practice, ideally at least once a month.
If you encounter any issues with parts during the assembly or use of your e-bikes within the 2-year warranty period, please contact us, and we will send replacement parts with an estimated delivery time of 10–14 days. View full details of the two-year warranty here.
We recommend cleaning your e-bike (avoiding high-pressure washers) and checking the chains and tyres after each ride.
Depending on how often you ride, most e-bikes will need servicing every six to twelve months.
Even if you rarely ride and have stored your bike for months, it's advisable to have it serviced before riding again.
If you are located in Melbourne, we have a store that can help service your e-bike. Otherwise, most bike shops can assist.
Our goal is to make e-bikes affordable and cost-effective for Aussie families looking for a greener way to travel.
Merkx offers free shipping and speedy delivery across most areas. If you are in a remote location, we may contact you regarding a small additional charge.

Could not be happier with the service from ordering on Wednesday evening to riding on Friday afternoon two day delivery simple to assemble comfortable to ride using the bike to commute to and from work light is very bright dark mornings no problem.
Great responsive sales advice from Megan and received the bike within a week of ordering. It was relatively easy to assemble watching the video instructions (at half speed!)
I'm really happy with the Cargo bike for the money I paid. It feels solid and has enough power to get me up reasonably steep hill where I live. I love that the accessories are reasonably priced (I paid $60 each for the kiddie safety railing and cargo basket which I have been able to attach to the front carrier, although it would habe been good if the predrilled holes on the cargo basket were also drilled on the front carrier. It is designed to go on the back, but since I have kids in the back I needed a big basket up front. The two batteries feature is also good. I drained my first one and could switch to the second one to get home. I got about 50ks out of a single charge of both batteries, but I am living at the top of a hill so frequently using level three assist.
Basically this bike is good value in my book at $2,400 all up with accessories. Any comparable cargo bikes are about $3,500 to 4,500 with heavy price tags on the accessories (nearly $350 for a kiddie rail and seat padding on the cargo tail!). The 2 year warranty is a big bonus and I believe the customer service will be good if I need it, based on other reviews, which were also consistent with my purchase experience. There is zero branding on the bike which indicates a straight from source scenario, but this seems to have helped considerably lower the price. Overall I would recommend the cargo bike if you are looking for this type of bike for school runs etc. My daughter loves hollering to all her friends as we whizz past. She has dubbed it "Zoomer"! I was nervous because the bike is a recent addition to Merkx range and there were no other reviews. Other than the occasional gear slip which I will get around to adjusting, everything has worked perfectly out of the box and its a fun ride. Handles well on grass also with the fat tyres. Hope this review helps others who are looking. I am really happy with the extra daily incidental exercise im getting (I still need to pedal hard to get up the hills, its not a cruiser!) But this is what I was looking for.
It was a fast and straightforward process in all regards. Even though a little thing is still missing I learned a lot via the offered tutorials. I did my first ride out today and that on my usual daily commute and it was a full success. Service and Quality are on high level
Fantastic Customer Service, amazing bike especially for the price. I'd buy a second bike in the future for sure. Thankyou guys for such a fun ride! The S600 has surpassed all my expectations on what an E Bike can be to get me out and about again :)
Very happy with this purchase
Had a couple of questions in regards to assembly and received fast helpful assistance
Can’t believe the distance I’m getting on one battery
Rear suspension a bit stiff for me but what a great all round bit of gear
Great bike, had to go into settings & tone the take off down, it was a bit lively off the mark, also dropped the max speed down to 25 km just in case, but can increase both when off a govt roads. Definitely worth the money compared to other brands, super easy to assemble as most of it comes ready.
Loving the MX06 in the process of ordering another, thank you 😊
Got 2 of these as a husband and wife activity to do together. It was delivered quite quickly, fairly easy to put together and is heaps of fun to ride. Quite powerful too. Happy with our purchase
apart from a small dent in the helmet during shipping everything else arrived in good order. bike went together without any issues and I am very happy with this purchase.
Very satisfied with the Q20 pro, the thing is a weapon!

The bike rides well on flat and slight incline when loaded but struggles on steeper hills. All in all a decent option and I would recommend based on my experience so far. Delivery was quick, the price is comparatively good to others on the market. Some areas for improvement - the kids seat/frame could be lightly bigger and more sturdy. I feel the instructional video to assemble could be improved to make it a little more clear on some of the more fiddly parts. The guard on one side came cracked out of the box but this does not impact the usability.
I really love this bike. It's a little bit harder suspension than I expected. I have been very jarred when I hit potholes but it's exceeded my expectations in every other way. I absolutely love it and it's bought real joy into my life. For the price I could absolutely forgive it not having decent suspension to be honest. I certainly wouldn't be riding trail on it! But for road riding and bike paths and even reasonably smooth dirt it's proved admirable.
I admit I zip along at max speed as I use it mostly for commuting... Actually I use it all for commuting at this stage up to 50 km a day. The battery is usually on one bar by the time I do this, I pedal all the time as fast as I can, often just because that's what I'm used to and I can actually get a little bit of a workout (higher HR) that way by spinning the legs!
The headlight is really good and I like that the tail light comes on when you brake... The little horn is also quite loud for warning people when you're coming past.
My bike shop said they recommend me bring it in for service after 1000 K and that I will probably go through the tyres quite quickly and the service at least initially will cost about $100 or so... With this in mind, it may not end up being all that economical if price of fuel wasn't so high but it also saves wear and tear on one's motor vehicle and just being outside feeling the wind and sun in your face is delightful... Especially when you're not sweating at the same time ha ha !
Brakes are so-so but as an experienced writer with also so many decades of riding motorbikes in the past I'm fairly astute at reading conditions. I could see this being a trap for the unwary though, especially at the speeds they can go.
I'm a 63-year-old female who used to do a lot of sports but has got a little lazier in the last year or so... And my mountain bike had been sitting with flat tyres in the garage for probably two ! This bike definitely has made me enjoy riding again! I'm so very happy I bought this bike and I think it's really good value for money. I have had it for about six weeks I guess and done 500 km on it. I bought a second battery just in case I need that and I'm having trouble charging the other one and I think that's a good thing to do personally.
Fantastic Customer Service, amazing bike especially for the price. I'd buy a second bike in the future for sure. Thankyou guys for such a fun ride! The S600 has surpassed all my expectations on what an E Bike can be to get me out and about again :)
